Modern Ladies Foundation was set up to improve the lives of people in our community, especially older people, vulnerable individuals, women and families who need support. Whatever your background, you’re welcome here.
Our story
We believe everyone deserves support, respect and the chance to reach their full potential, whatever their background or circumstances.
A lot of what we do starts with getting people in the same room. Cooking together, workshops and social events help people make friends, look after their wellbeing and know there’s support close to home. For someone who has been on their own too much, that can change a great deal.
Through community service, skills training and business development, we create opportunities that benefit both individuals and the wider community.
Immediate help matters, and we give it. But we also want people to leave with something that lasts: a skill, an income, a network, and eventually a stake in their own future.

A stronger, healthier and more connected community, where people grow, look out for one another and thrive together, and where no one is left behind.
Our mission
We bring people together. Through cooking sessions, community events, workshops and social activities, we help people make friends, look after their wellbeing and learn new skills. We give practical help to older people and vulnerable families, teach women skills that lead to income, and support parents with childcare and education. Through a dedicated business arm, we create income that sustains our work and gives members a path towards financial independence and home ownership.

Antoinette Ahiaku
Modern Ladies Foundation was founded by Antoinette Ahiaku to bring care and opportunity together in one place: looking after people who need support today, while helping women and families build a more secure tomorrow.
